RE: Expansion in Internet use

Area of opportunity:
This is a proposal to use an area that could bring in revenue with little cost than what is already utilized. The ability to reach more customers and allow for online ordering will bring in more sales with little cost to the company. The increase use of online ordering can allow customers to see the full line of products and order what they want to be picked up by them at their convenience or shipped to them. The Internet can reach potential customers in the area and allow them to view what Kudler’s Fine Foods (KFF) has to offer. With the Internet explosion and use of computer-based devices, bringing KFF to the web will take the company all over the country.
The Problem:
The mission of KFF is to provide the finest products, and we shop the world for the best but if consumers do not have other ways to see what we have and give them different ways to purchase products then we will fall behind the competition. Many stores have Internet sites that allow ordering products, and we need to compete with them. This will allow for a growth in sales with little cost as we already have a website and expanding to include products will not be too consuming or cost very much. The IT specialist can design the site and as he is already on the payroll, a small increase in pay would not be too costly.
Implementation:
I believe using the competitive forces model to implement this plan will work well for the company. With the threat of potential companies, economic issues, and new technology this strategy will allow for maximum value over the competition and move KFF to the for-front of fine foods and allow consumers the ease of receiving products from us (Burns, 2011).

Ways that project management can help with the changes are
Measuring the current process and developing a baseline.
Metrics are both...
