I feel that these stressors are impacting Jennifer’s life in the following ways: I believe that the stress she is feeling is starting to have an impact on her physical health causing her to have headaches, backaches and indigestion, if the stress continues it can lead to more complicated health problems. Along with the physical symptoms I feel that Jennifer is showing signs of depression, which can have an impact on self concept and her self-esteem. In this case that might describe why she might be making mistakes, feeling tired and overwhelmed. With the stressors effecting her self-concept and self-esteem it may make it more difficult to stay organized and on top of all her work like she used to be able to do. Jennifer’s situation illustrates adjustment because she is adjusting to all these new stressor’s in her life. She needs to adjust her personal life to adapt to all these changes conserning her mother’s death, her father’s health and dealing with the issue that he needs to be in a care facility but he is not wanting to go, and to having a miscarriage but knowing that her husband’s family is in a way pressuring her and her husband to have a baby. Jennifer can use these things towards her own personal growth by learning how to cope with the stress she has in her everyday life. She needs to learn how to find some peace in her stressful days. I believe that if Jennifer can learn how to cope with this stress she will have personal growth in the ways of how she handles things and how she can deal with what is going on around her in a more positive matter.
