My primary goal is obtaining a successful position within a company performing the duties of monitoring, maintaining and preparing their finances as well as their financial statements as a part of the accounting department. Once doing so, I hope to acquire a substantial amount of experience that will allow me to advance in my career. Ultimately, this will able me to gain a position as a Chief Financial Officer with a company within the Healthcare industry.
I believe that with my organizational skills, my attention to detail and ability to think outside of the box, I will be able to find success as an accountant. Additional qualities that I carry are dedication and honesty. Those traits alone will aid me in any unethical dilemma that I may encounter in the world of finance.
In order to work effectively with others and maximize my talents, it is important that I have a particular level of maturity, possess critical thinking and leadership skills as well as have a tolerance for stress and ambiguity. Knowledge of computer skills as well as other technologies are of high importance for success in my area of interest, the accounting field. A high level of communication skills is also a necessity to successfully work effectively with others in any career field.
The ability to work effectively and efficiently alone, shows dedication and self-motivation which will allow for increased productivity. These are important skills because in the work industry, there isn’t always someone there to guide you and show you the way. It’s vital that you are able to differentiate yourself from your co-workers by showing initiative when completing needed tasks. Interpersonal skills are as equally important as intrapersonal skills. Verbal communication as well as nonverbal communication skills need to be well developed in order to achieve success in the workplace.
