Construct and Support an Argument
Introduction
I decided to pursue a MBA degree to build on my managerial skills and time management skills. I also want to become a Certified Public Accountant and the University of Phoenix MBA program has a concentration in accounting that will help me to prepare for the CPA exam in a timely manner. I received my bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting several years ago from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. I have approximately seven years working experience as an accountant from my current job United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta. Having worked several years as a dedicated employee have made me respected professionally at my job but unfortunately, I was laid off a year ago and was blessed to be able to come back three months ago. When I was laid off I realize that in order to be competitive I too needed my MBA. However, my ambition for my professional career allowed me to realize I could not stop there. In today’s fast-changing environment, I have faced more challenges to make me aware I need to widen my professional career. I want to be successful in contribution to management level strategic decision making.

Reasons why to pursue MBA Program
Here is the primary reason for why I want to pursue the MBA. MBA will boost up my career and bring additional job opportunities. MBA program will make me much better positioned on transitioning to another job. There are a variety of MBA jobs and areas of concentration. I have decided to concentrate in accounting because I have learned that the University of Phoenix have a concentration in accounting will be sensitive to legal, ethical, and social value . The MBA is widely noted as one of the best graduate degrees you can get. Employers see the qualification as organizational achievements, indicating flexibility, and ability to welcome change, creativity, self-motivation, personal effectiveness, and a range of other qualities.
