Pyrolympics
A custom American tradition during the 4th of July is their Independence Day, to remember the day of the Independence of America. They celebrate it by gathering in the park and having beautiful fireworks display in almost every state in the USA. Way back home in the Philippines we also have our annual Pyrolympics where many Pyrotechnicians around the world assemble to showcase their technical expertise and creative talent in a fabulous display of classical fireworks and Pyro-musicals. It happens annually in the famous SM Mall of Asia Philippines, where people from all walks of life gather to witness a spectacle of colorful fireworks transformed into a dazzling display of visual art that is absolutely beyond the usual.
As I gaze through the fireworks in mid air it looks fun and stunning to the eye of every people watching. I can smell the smoke that those fireworks produce. All the colors of the rainbow can be seen on those fireworks booming in the air. I feel amazed as the sound of the music matches the movements of the fireworks, as the tone arise so as the fireworks. The best part of it as we call it the climax part is where on the best timbre of the song the fireworks evolve on a different level of its light. Every person in the venue awaits the magnificent end of every display where every entry gives it their maximum shot, because all of them have only one goal and it is to grab the gold.
Gigantic lights of red, white and blue, sound makers, cameras and naked eyes, sounds like a very huge celebration, but the Pyrolympics is more than just a celebration, it is an event where friends and families gather to witness every nation battle each other to capture the gold. People mingle for hours, with only a light wind across their back and an ice-cold soda keeping them cool and refreshed.
