Race and the Community

Race and your community By: Joshua O’neal In my community some of the people look like me and there are some people are white and look like me and I have a neighbor that is African American. The leaders look like me for the most part and I believe that they are all white. I think that the leaders try to treat everyone the way that they would want to be treated. People in my community that are the same race as me treat me decent. I also think that the people of other races treat me like I owe them something. I think that people who are different than me do not like me because they think that I am taking up space and need to go where ever I came from. The work books and work manuals do have people that look like me in them and I believe someone that looks like me wrote it. The big boss man and founder of the company that I work for looks like me I have met me several times. People in the media do represent people like me the ways that they represent me is because they look like me and they also think some of the ways that I do. Some ways that the leaders are similarities that are they look like me and some of them think like me. They have families like me and care about their families like me this is all I have so far.
