“Look before you leap.” This is an English proverb that we have learned. It reminds us to think twice before making any action. Teenagers always act in haste without thinking positively. This essay attempts to discuss the reasons of teenagers involve in gangsterism at school.
First and foremost, teenagers today are suffering from lack of care from family. Parents always busy with their work. Their working time is from morning to night. Their children might not even see them the whole day. Therefore teenagers do not feel loved by their parents. They join gangsterism in order to get attention from their friends. As a result, teenagers live, think and act like a gangster. Parents do not take good care of their children.
Secondly, another reason is that teenagers are having financial problems. It is bad until they cannot afford to eat three meals per day. So they want to help their parents to reduce the financial problems. They join gangsterism in order to earn fast and a lot of money by selling drugs, collect protection money, money lending business like loan shark and so on. It does not mean teenagers do not love their life. They love their family more. They have no choice but to help their family to earn money this way.
Lastly, some of the teenagers involve in gangsterism is to seek for protection. Schools have a lot of bully cases. It makes other teenagers fear to go to school. By being a part of a gangster member. This can make them to feel much safer. This is why they involve in gangsterism. They want to feel safer.
In a nut shell, in my opinion, the factors teenagers involve in gangsterism are: lack of care from family, financial problem, seeks for protection. Teenagers should not act based on impulse.
