The first is a current affairs program; the second is tourism marketing communication. For the assessment: view in class the shout Malaysian TV marketing communications; PETRONAS ‘The Boat’ and Media Prima history in Malaysia. Both represent the Malaysian nation on screen in corporate marketing. Discuss in group the following questions. Questions: In the case of each example of ‘documentary marketing’; 1) Does the narrative/story involve or ‘immerse’ you? Refer to the PETRONAS ‘The Boat’, yes, the advertisement do involve us. This is because, this advertisement reflect the culture of Malaysian people. For example, it shows the good manners of Malaysian like cooperative, hardworking, patient, ready to strive harder to gain success and never give up in doing anything. Other than that, the Malaysian people are also willing to help each other even though in the worst situation. In addition, the advertisement also shows that we need to have a proper planning for the future and feel free to do anything about it. Refer to the Media Prima history in Malaysia, yes, the story in this advertisement also involve us. Being a pure Malaysian in nationality, we think that this advertisement shows the spirit of a true Malaysian, encouraging them to have the feeling of love for the country and high national spirit. Besides that, we can also see from the advertisement that Malaysian is in a rapid developing process towards achieving the goal of being one of the Developed countries.
