Relationship Paper.
At the age of 16 in high school I met my best friend Bijou Muriel. I had moved from Batibo to Bamenda to continue my education there because Batibo did not have a high school at the time. I moved there to stay with my auntie. Our relationship has lasted for about ten years now and is in the terminal stage.
The first time I met Odette was on my first day in school. On my first day in high school, I went to class and there was no empty sit and everyone was so strange to me. This girl of the same age and height came up to me and said "I am Bijou and you are?” and i said call me Cate, then she offered to help me go into another class and get a chair. She brought a desk that could accommodate two people and asked if she could share the sit with me and I accepted and that was how we came to being best friends.
The Johari window in this stage is open, and what I mean by open is that there are things I know about myself that Odette knows too. The hidden window is very large compared to the open window as there are things that I know about myself that Odette does not know anything about. The blind window is the same as the open window as there are things that Odette knows about me that I don’t know about myself. This is because of the limiting information that we know about each other.
At the experimenting stage of our friendship, we started talking more to each other in order to get to know one another better. We talked on issues like school, family,likes and dislikes, friends that we already have and what we plan for the future. She told me that she has been leaving in Bamenda from the day she was born and that she will really like to visit other areas and meet new friends.
In this stage of the Johari window, the open window has grown a little bigger but the hidden window is still really bigger than the open window. The open window has the things that I know about myself that...
