In response to "The Body Shop"
The information texts "The Body Shop" by Mackenzie Lobby explores the importance of nutrition to human body regarding to exercise. The examples and statics used by the author demonstrate input of correct nutrition can be more effective in keeping healthy than a solid workout. Also, through the text, it is evident that working out without proper intake of nutrition can be more harmful than an unactive living style. First, correct nutrition input is more effective in keeping healthy than a regular workout. This is evident by the experience of a teenager Chelsey who "thinks she has an edge" "by focusing on nutrition." Nutrition gives her "confidence" and she can only be at "the top" of a game if she eats properly. These benefits such as confidence and superior skills can not be reached only by practicing and working out and must be achieved through a healthy and nutrient diet. At the same time,eating healthy and taking various nutritions have more impact on your body and are more easy and less tiring comparing to exercising. Therefore, ingest good nutritions is a more effective way to be healthy. Second, nutrition is significant to health because any exercise without proper nutrition intake can be harmful for human body and the quality of the exercise. This is depicted when "muscle" is "[ate] away" when people work out without "fueling the body" meaning consuming nutrition. When athletes work out without nutritions, their body shape and mental health will be harmed since their muscles and brain no longer have energy to work and are forced to function. When forced to function, cell death will occur faster and organs will age times more quickly. This is clearly seen everyday when black eyes appear after staying up all night. Therefore, working out without proper nutrition consumed is harmful to both body strength, sports skills and thinking abilities.
