RESPONSIBILITY , ACCOUNTABILITY AND IMPORTANCE.

Responsibility and Accountability almost have the same meaning only slight differences. Responsibility is defined as , the obligation to carry forward an assigned task to a successfull conclusion. With responsibility goes authority to direct and take the necessary action to ensure success. It is also the obligation for the proper custody , care , and safe keeping of property or funds entrusted to the possession or supervision of an individual. Accountability is defined as ; liable to being called to account and answerable.
Responsibility, Accountibility and Importance is very important in the Army as well as everyday life. It is very vital to be responsible not only for our actions but as well as equipment that we are accounted for. Taking responsibility means that if you are giving a task than you are responsible in ensuring that the task is completed on time, and to let the right people know if there is any delays in the process of completing the task . Being responsible also goes along with being responsible for the well being of soldiers and equipment. Making sure that the soldiers are taken care of. If our not responsible enough to maintain your equipment and taking care of your soldiers than you will not only fail your soldiers but you will also fail the mission or task because you were not responsible to make sure it was mission capable. If you are not responsible for your actions and careless , then you will start to get a reputation that you are incompetent and not reliable. Everyone is accountable for their actions , their equipment and any kind of mission or task they are giving. Being responsible and accountable in the U.S. Army is of the upmost importance. Responsibility and accountability are two of the main factors in being a successful soldier in todays army.
