Responsibility essay

Responsibility
First of all, responsibility is the realization of the importance of your duties whether they lie in doing your share of housework at home or managing a group of employees. It is understandable that by your deeds you contribute to some common cause and that other people rely on you. If you fail to fulfill your obligations, you will let them down. At the same time, it means to be able to admit your mistakes, which certainly demands to be brave and just. One may be mistaken – it is quite natural and nobody is insured against making mistakes. However, many people do not know how to correctly behave in such situations. They are too proud to say openly that they were wrong and will go to any lengths to blame their mistakes on other people. A responsible person would focus on finding a sure-fire solution of the situation that has arisen as a result of their actions instead of attributing guilt on someone else.
In my opinion a responsible soldier is a man or woman who attempts to live and apply the army values to everyday life. By placing the mission first soldiers automatically put themselves second to everything they do; meaning selfless service. Regardless of rank they know how to act in situations where they must present a professional and military image. They also take pride in what they do every day for their country, even if it’s something as small as keeping track of a room key. Responsible soldiers take full responsibility for all actions performed by them or any actions that they help perform weather it was the right or wrong thing. Soldiers know where to be, what uniform to be in, what time to be there, and help make sure that every one of their seniors, peers, and subordinates know as well. I believe that a responsible soldier should do the right thing even when the right thing is off the beaten path. They also do the right thing even when no one else is looking. Anything government issued should be treated like your weapon....
