Rent versus Buying
The topic for my final paper will be on the issue of renting versus buying. The purpose of me choosing this particular topic is right now this has been a huge topic of discussion in my household. While there are several different points of view on this topic and several reasons why one may think differently one way or the other. There are also many advantages and disadvantages to both sides I think it varies from person to person on which option is better. Someone who moves often due to employment would more than likely not be interested in buying a house it is easier for the to move when not having to worry about selling their home each time they have to move. Someone who is just staring a family and would like some stability, buying a home would be a better option. I think it is important to first decide what option better suits your needs.
I personally think buying a home is the option for me for several reasons. First, I feel that by renting a home I am just throwing money away with nothing to show for it. I know that when buying a home there is much more responsibilities such as, taxes, home owners insurance, and having to take care of all the repairs yourself. However, in the end you have something to show for your money and you are also acquiring assets in the process. I am one that enjoys painting and doing small do it yourself type projects as well as creating a garden and flower beds. Typically, when you rent a home the owner does not allow you to paint are add your own personal touches to their house. Another big issue for me is animals I am a huge animal lover right now I have three dogs, two cats, and two kittens four out of the seven were rescues. From my experience trying to find a home to rent with this many animals is almost impossible. One thing I would never be able to do is part with one of my babies.
