1) Introduction:
Objective of the study:
The objective of this mini project is to learn about the retention strategies in a private security solutions company.
The company chosen for this purpose is Vigil Security Bureau Pvt Ltd, Chennai.
Why Security?
Security as the word implies, must aim at securing complete freedom from fear and offer complete protection to industrial holdings both in men and material, so that the Management can concentrate freely and completely on the other major productive functions such as planning, production, distribution etc., in order to gain Industrial advancement.
It assumes an even greater importance in light of the recent terror attacks aimed not only at innocent people but at disrupting the economy as well.
Company Profile:
Vigil‘s mission is to provide innovative, cost effective protective solutions to ensure the safety and security of the assets of any organization with out eliciting any labour unrest.
Founded in 1984 by Mr. Haridass Menon (MD), Vigil has recorded a steady and sustained growth over the years. It has carved for itself a niche, among the security organizations noted for their wide ranging and outstanding quality of its services.
The company is based in Chennai and has branches in the following locations: Bangalore, Hosur, Hyderabad, Gumminipoondi, Trichy and Pondicherry. The company employs over 3700 personnel across various locations with approximately 1500 personnel based in Chennai.
