How could the changing nature of Richard and Buckinghams relationship be shown in act 4 scene 2 Richards and Buckinghams relationship change dramatically in act 4 scene 2. They become enemies and turn against each other. This is all because Buckingham refuses to kill the two Prince’s who are only children as Buckingham feels that it is wrong and shouldn’t be carried out. For Buckingham not following orders, Richard discards him as he is no further use to him and was just a mere tool for killing people who stood in his way to becoming king. In my views i think that Richard was a little harsh to the way Buckingham reacted when he was asked to get rid of the young Prince’s. Buckingham said ‘I shall have to think about that’. This i believe is another way of saying sorry i can’t but in a more relaxed and not heart breaking way. Buckingham further more moves away as a result of breaking up alliances with Richard. He moves as far away as possible all the way to Wales were Richard can never track him down. I do not understand in the first place why Buckingham trusted Richard in the first place as Richard promised him riches of his dreams when he had become king, but yet again Richard failed to live up to standards and therefore Buckingham didn’t receive the money that he was promised. I think that Buckingham was blind as every normal person would have seen this coming. Buckingham however didn’t and he lost out in the long term which was a huge lose for him as he had done so much for Richard while in his command. Therefore you can see that i have explained and expressed my views of Richard and Buckinghams relationship as they have know fallen out and are now enemies.
