Current Network Situation

Riordan Manufacturing has sites in areas: San Jose, Ca; Albany, GA; Pontiac, MI; and Hangzhou, China. All four sites have different network structures and computer hardware on site. The sites in China and California have a traditional client/server structure and Dell Optiflex computers with 2.6GHz processors, with 512 MB of RAM, 60 GB hard drives, which all run on the windows 2000 operating system and have office 2000 on them and a wide variety of servers that can be recycled. The Georgia and Michigan sites currently have non-traditional client/server network structures with Compaq computers that have processors that range from 233 MHz to 600 MHz processors, 32- 256 MB of RAM, that run Windows 98 for an operating system, and also have Microsoft Office.
