RISK TAKER

“The Risk Taker”
I believe if you do not take risks then you are not living. In life everything requires a decision, and those decisions will not only affect you, but the people around you as well. No decision is a small choice and in every situation or problem in your life a decision must be made and there is always a risk associated with it that follows. It is frightening to think about all of the possible undesirable consequences that would present its self, and I must admit that I have made choices in life that I stressed over because of the risks that were brought forth. None the less, regardless of the scale of chance there will always be a risk you have to take.
I believe if you take risks good things will come from them. I was presented with the decision of either going to the military or going back to school to receive my masters. The risks I would be facing were ones that I didn’t want to face. By going to the military I would risk being away from my daughter for two or more months at at time, and I didn’t want to risk missing out on things in her life that a mother shouldn’t miss or anyone for that matter. Also, knowing that my husband is in military I didn’t want to risk both of us being deployed at the same time. So I decided to go back to school for my masters, the risk that came along with that are having to spend hours after work writing papers or studying and not being able to spend that quality time with my family. Another risk that comes along with pursuing a masters is not being able to visit home because of the time I may have dedicated to school. Even though those are negative risks, on the upside, by taking the risk of going back to school I am helping to provide for my family and give my daughter, future kids and husband a better life.
My family is what motivates me to be a better person with everything I do. From everyday tasks to professionally at work I know that the risks I take I will have their support. My passion is to make...
