A Rose for Emily
Rose for Emily is a story written by William Faulkner. Ms. Emily is a women like no others. The story takes place in a small town where everyone knows each other. Main character of the story is Ms. Emily who used to be very rich. She lived with his father until he died so she has never been alone until her father’s death.
There are several questions to be answered in this story. Why Ms. Emilys’ life has been important to the townspeople? How Homer, her father and the townspeople reaction to Ms. Emilys’ life? Why does she keep dead people in her house? This analisys paper will also consider how Ms. Emily is different from most modern average american women..

Ms. Emily is lonely and a little strange woman. She never dated or never had a boyfriend or husband before because of her dad. Her dad was materialistic guy no one was rich enough for her. This is one of the reason she is so lonely. She had everything when her father was around but after his death she thinks she is going to be alone so would want to let him go for three days until the townspeople almost used a law enfourcement. She tells them that her father is alive for three days when he was passed away from illness.
When her father was alive he loaned money to the town and the town told him that he does not have to pay taxes because that’s how they were going to pay him back his loan. Few years after that they changes some things and now they were going to get tax from her but she refuses to pay her taxes. She did not go out much after her father’s and not long after that her sweetheart abondoned her since then she feels lonely an untrustful because that every she love’s always left her one way or another. She did not even went out for her groceries she had a helper so she stays in her house quiet a long time.
