The specific issue that will be discussed here is gay marriage. This is a very touchy subject for many people throughout the states and the world. The main question here is whether a marriage consists of same sex exchanging vows or opposite sex. Many people believe that families should begin with a man and a woman. There are also people who truly believe that if the couple is in love then it should not matter. The controversy of what a marriage should be could be an argument that is never ending, especially with many religious beliefs. Many believe that same sex marriage is a sin and the people are going to hell for their many sins. There are debates on whether same sex couples should be able to adopt children and have families, because a lot of people believe it influences the children to follow in their footsteps. Many people believe that it is not fair to the child, because they will be made fun of in school for having two fathers or mothers.
Traditional marriage is still the beliefs of many people throughout the world. Up until recent years same sex marriage was sadly looked upon. In today’s society many gay couples are still frowned upon. Many states are still against same sex marriage and will not pass the law to allow it, while other states do not have problems with it. Today we have been seeing more and more couples getting married that are the same sex. It is amazing how much trouble gay couples go through just to pronounce their love for each other, but it is okay for a man and a woman to exchange vows in front of their friends and family. People who get married exchange vows with one another to show the world their love to each other, whether they are gay or straight. People seem to think that gay couples do not last and are just experiencing, but in reality it seems they last longer than a traditional couple.
