I feel that I should be considered for this scholarship because I would use the money wisely. I have absolutely no money for college and I’m hoping by the help of scholarships and grants that I won’t have to use many student loans. My family has a very low income and we have six people to take care of and we get by, unfortunately there is no extra money to pay for college. My parents can’t simply pay for my schooling and not the others, so I am on my own. My parents are divorced and I have eleven siblings. My mother has no work income because she is disabled and my father works in a factory. Neither of my parents went to college and my mother didn’t even graduate high school. I want to make an example for my siblings and go to college and be a great role model for them. By the help of this scholarship I can pay for my first semester down payment or even books. I work part time as a waitress and I use that money to pay for my car insurance and the payment and I also help my mother out when I can. I juggle a bunch of school activities because I like to be involved and I manage a 3.0 gpa. I am a kind hearted person and I always help out anyone I can. I volunteer a lot in my community, by going to the hospital and helping the elderly and even helping set up benefits for those in my community that have an illness or cancer. I am really in need or help, financial help, and I would be greatly honored to earn this scholarship.
