Do you konw Hiddink, Guus? He was coach of Korea National Football Team. He became a hero after 2002 FIFA Korea-Japan World Cup. There are three reasons why I admire him. First, he kept his way. He knew the weakness of players and had a long plan for them. He pointed lack of physical strength and pride, so he executed power up programs, and Korea National Football Team had matched with powerful football teams located in Europe and South America. In this way, he obtained a new nickname called ”O dae young”. The Korea National Football Team lost several games, and scores was 5 vs 0. People and media like newspaper censured him, but he never gave up his way. The result occured after February in 2002. The Korea Football Team was changed, and the players had pride of skills and health. In addition, he solved an old hope of Korean people. The Korea National Football Team won the game of Poland, the first game of 1st round; furthermore, it is a first win of the World Cup history. People were enthusiatic about the result and style. They got a hope to pass a 1st round and became Red-Devils during 2002 FIFA Korea-Japan World Cup. People became more enthusiatic each game. Korea National Football Team went semi-final finally. Finally, he remembered Korea and the Korean people. After retiring of the coach, he led and scouted Korean football players abroad and made the football scholarship for young players and gave money and messages to people when people were pain by natural diaster like a typhoon and a flood also. In conclusion, Hiddink lived successful life in Korea. He left good impression for us. I will remember him for a long time.
