Our founder, Kathy Kudler, was the Vice-President of Marketing for a large defense contractor. Weary of the constant peregrinate and the pressures of corporate life, Kathy was probing for other opportunities. As it transpired, Kathy relieved her stress through gourmet cooking and on a shopping trip for ingredients for a gourmet repast; she suddenly realized there was an opportunity for an upscale epicurean food shop in La Jolla. The gourmet grocery store is in the San Diego area. Kathy endeavors to brand the company as a salubrious alternative food chain in the gourmet market niche. Kudler Fine Foods promulgated plans to create a frequent shopper program for their three stores in Southern California.
Customers that participate in the program will acquire news about store events, featured products and sales. In integration, they will be given exclusive offers on select merchandise and discounts on cooking and wine classes. Owner Kathy Kudler verbally expresses, "We believe this will be an immensely colossal benefit to our most loyal customers.”

E-Commerce

Electronic-commerce has become an industry standard in the last 10-15 years. Lacking an electronic-commerce outlet Kudler Fine Foods cannot sell their products online even through their own website. The current site performs at an intermediate level. Only the basics are available with limited locations and a brief overview of each department. Destitute of any online ordering system perpetuates to limit the company financially.
By implementing an electronic-commerce solution, KFF will have an online medium to process Internet transactions.
