After seven years of on and off dating, he has finally popped the question; Carrie is getting married. In only two short weeks, she will no longer be a single, 35 year old New Yorker, run on she will be Mrs. Big. She couldn’t imagine being any happier than she is at this moment. With so many plans and preparations, the two weeks flew go by quickly. She has the most beautiful dress imaginable, the most wonderful location that money can buy, and the most amazing man in New York.
Carrie arrives at the Colosseum in her fabulous dress, preparing to wed the man of her dreams. Nothing can ruin this day, or so she thinks. Just then one of the groomsmen enters the room to inform her, the groom cannot be found; she asks for a phone. She contacts Big, and he tells her he was just in front of the building, but couldn’t come in. The phone drops to the floor ,and Carrie almost collapses. Heartbroken, she runs from the Colosseum in tears.
She knows she needs to get away from it all, so she and her three friends fly to Baja for what was meant to be her honeymoon. It is beautiful, but Carrie can’t take her thoughts away from Big. She wants to move on, but he is the one she loves and always has loved. The women return to New York. Carrie doesn’t intend to see or speak to her ex-fiancé, but, of course, she runs into him. She is still furious with him for breaking her heart and embarrassing her, yet she still loves him and that takes precedent. She knows he is truly sorry and only ran because he was scared. She is willing to give him a second chance.

They are married a week later, not in a huge, expensive Colosseum or in a fancy dress. It was just Carrie and Big, in the court house, in New York City, finally getting married. This may not be the wedding she had always dreamed of, but Big was definitely the man of Carrie’s dreams.
