Sexual Lounging

While eating supper with my boyfriend on Friday, at Applebee’s, I overheard a group of women talking about the 63-year old woman who was brutally beaten outside of a Planned Parenthood in Delaware. According to them, the woman was simply recording another woman who was leaving Planned Parenthood when she had a botched abortion. This happened, because the abortionist left her baby’s foot and another body part inside of her. This obviously showed that there were complications; therefore, she was rushed to the hospital for an additional surgery. The only reason that the 63-year old woman videotaped the other woman leaving the Planned Parenthood building was because she was trying to show how dangerous it is to have an abortion. When I researched the beating, I found that this specific Planned Parenthood had one previous incident that same day and that there were at least two more cases in February. The women also argued about their own views on abortion, which were mostly pro-life, except for one of them.
When I heard them talking about this, I was shocked, because we just talked about abortions in class, and I am very much against them, but I was surprised to see how many botched abortions were coming out of this facility. I know from past classes that abortion clinics have very difficult health codes to follow, many of the codes are not followed by current hospitals, so I believe that with these restrictions, there should be no botching of any abortions. Personally, I feel that if a woman is going to get an abortion she should get into some type of trouble, but they do not. This is very a difficult topic for me to understand. First because it is a very personal topic to me, since my brother was born on March 4 of this year, and second, because when Lacy Peterson was killed my her husband, Scott, he was the devil for killing her and their baby.
