Determining if a homosexual couple should be able to marry is not my decision. Homosexual couples should have the same rights as Heterosexual couples when it comes to marriage. No one can help who he or she grows up to be, or whom he or she love. You cannot control your heart. The heart is a very strong; it has a mind of its own. Gay and lesbians should be able to marry for the same reasons that straight couples marry, for love, happiness, companionships, social benefits, security, and to raise a family. This essay will explain why they should be able to marry.

In America we our free to reside where we like, we have freedom to voice our opinions in any matter, travel where we choose, but when it comes to homosexual issues the world starts to judge others. If American is the land of the free, and the home of the brave, then why not allow gays and lesbians marry? What is America afraid or ashamed of? Does the world think that we are viewed as weak or a disgrace because we allow same sex marriage? Americans treat the gay community the same way that white Americans, treated blacks during slavery. We are treating gays and lesbians as if they are worthless, and less than equal human’s beings. What is the difference between polygamy, and incest? The world that we live in today encourages polygamy, and turns the check at incest, because they are poor white trash that lives in the country (they not don’t know any better), but there is an global uproar at the notion of same sex marriage being legalized.
