I believe that marijuana should be legalized for medical reasons and would be beneficial to anyone that has a debilitating illness, chronic pain, or nausea from drug side effects or medical treatment side effects. There are people that think marijuana should be legalized for medical reasons and there are people that think marijuana should be illegal. This is a complicated issue.
There are also pros and cons with prescription and over-the-counter drugs. These drugs are legal and all you have to do is go to the local CVS and get your prescription filled or just walk up the medicine isle and pick out something for what ails you. I believe that medical marijuana is a safer pain reliever and has fewer side effects than prescription or over-the-counter drugs. Therefore I believe that marijuana should be legalized for medical reasons and would be beneficial to anyone that has a debilitating illness, chronic pain, or nausea from drug side effects or medical treatment side effects.
Marijuana can be grown naturally outdoors or indoors in soil with sunlight, regular watering and pruning. There is no need for added chemicals. Prescription and over-the-counter drugs have to be chemically altered in a lab by a scientist. This is far from naturally grown.
There are several side effects associated with taking prescription and over-the-counter drugs that are harmful. But the pain is so bad from the debilitating disease you have and you will do anything to make the pain stop so that you can attempt to live a normal life. But the prescription pain reliever the Dr. prescribed makes you nauseas. So either take the pain medicine and be miserable with little or no pain, or smoke some marijuana. Marijuana is not yet legal so that option is out. The only choice is to take the prescription pain reliever and deal with the nausea. Why put the body through these...
