Should the Amount of Home Work Be Reduced

It has been a question at the back of all our minds:" are the students getting too much home work?" I'm not going to answer that question for you and force you to believe what I believe however i'm going to present you with a number of different facts about the amount of homework, the reasons for it and also some expert opinion about it.

Let me start by saying practice makes perfect, there is no one in the whole world that is born with certain skills at a task. It is all learnt depending on the environment that he or she is in and the amount of pressure that is on them and I have no doubt that you all agree with me. That is one reason that home work is critical for us students and if there is no home work we are not going to have a healthy society, there will be no doctors, engineers or teachers and because of that no one will be able to make any money or sell anything and soon enough the whole society will turn barbaric due to depression and poverty.

Kids at primary school, in prep are expected to do 90 minutes of home work each day. Now if you were a student that used to do 90 minutes of homework everyday in prep you will most definitely not be having any difficulties now or in your future life because you are used to the pressure. And will find the hours of homework recommended for a year twelve quite reasonable. Even if you are a student who didn't do much home work in prep, primary school, or even in secondary school; you still have a chance and it is not too late. All you need to do is put your self under a little pressure, reduce you leisure time and think towards the future. Imagine this, the life you always imagined of all the things you ever wanted and most importantly you favorite career could all be achieved by 1 year of pressure. To me this sounds marvelous. And im willing to have less fun in just one year of my life and live the life that I wanted for the rest of my years.

It is quite rediculus how some of us are saying that home...
