Shroomin!

Shroomin!

It was a gorgeous Saturday on the VCU campus and a few of my friends and I decided to do some shrooms. There were five of us all together, Eva who had never done shrooms before, Buck, Andrea, Gabby, and me. Gabby wasn’t tripping due to her new jobs drug testing, she was just coming along for fun and of course to make sure we didn’t do any crazy shit while we were in our own wild world.

We woke up pretty early that Saturday and met in Andrea’s room to prepare. Each of us ate a few of those nasty chalky Pepto Bismol tablets to settle our stomachs. Then we split up the bags, half an eighth for each of us. As I was staring down at the little pile of ordinary looking mushrooms I wondered how they could so drastically alter my perceptions. Next, we spread peanut butter on a piece of bread and sprinkled the shrooms on top. Voila! Shroomwiches! I gobbled mine down in about 30 seconds followed by a glass of apple juice. Shrooms aren’t exactly the tastiest snack; it was crunchy and pretty much ruined my peanut butter sandwich. I started to feel a slight difference in my physical sensations after about ten minutes, specifically tingling towards the back of my head; but wasn’t getting any visuals yet. Another one of our friends dropped by and packed a few bowls for us while we watched some TV, waiting for the effects to kick in. 45 minutes later, I noticed the feeling in the back of my head had intensified; even after smoking a few bowls, I didn't feel high at all. My head was feeling considerably heavy and I began to sweat a little, then it hit me.

There was a tall wooden dress in the corner of Andrea’s room, I was just staring at it and noticed the drawers starting to come out, they were bulging out of the dresser! Next the patterns on the wood started to change and swirl around. My head swiveled over to look at the closet doors and noticed that the metal framing was pulsing, as if there was liquid rushing through it. I mumbled something about swirls and Eva agreed...
