Sir Toby & Sir Andrew

Sir Toby Belch is Olivia’s uncle and is staying with Olivia. He is a drunkard, and finds life amusing. He is a wisecrack and loves to tell a joke at someone’s expense. Olivia only tolerates him, but does not approve of his lifestyle including the company he keeps, Sir Andrew Aguecheek. “With drinking health’s to my niece. I’ll drink to her as long as there is a passage in my throat and drink in Illyria.” Most of what we have seen of Sir Toby he is drunk, with hiccups and plenty of comedic relief.

Sir Andrew Aguecheek is a friend of Sir Toby Belch. Sir Andrew is very proud of himself thinking he is wise and good looking. Sir Andrew thinks he is brave, and courageous. He is arrogant thinking he has all of these good qualities, but in reality he is an idiot. He is the true fool even though he has the title of Sir. “Never in your life, I think, unless you see canary put me down. Methinks sometimes I have no more wit than a Christian or an ordinary man has. But I am a great eater of beef, and I believe that does harm to my wit.”

Some of the sexual innuendos are so obvious that I wasn’t sure if I just had a dirty mind or it was really there and others are so hard that I didn’t even notice it until I re-read or someone pointed it out. My prediction is that Sebastian and viola get mixed up by everyone and viola gets outted as a girl. After that Olivia feels pretty dumb for being attracted to a girl and continues her no guys rule for even longer. I think that Maria and Sir Toby will...
