For a student in a Distance learning environment it is to be successful, there are a few tips minor tips and details they might want to know beforehand. These useful tips will help you to budget your time effectively, retain what you have learned, and manage your study habits.
Using Axia’s Educational Resources:
The first contact you will receive will be from Axia’s educational support team. These are the people that you can call whenever you have a problem, a question, or need someone to talk to about classes. There will be: a Technical Support Team, an Academic Counselor, a Financial Aid Counselor, and an Enrollment Counselor. Your Enrollment Counselor will be your guide; they will guide you through the basics before you officially start classes, informing you of everything you will need to know. Axia’s website is set up so that any student new or old will have easy access to anything they may need throughout their time here at Axia. One of the first things you need to do if you haven’t gone over it with your Academic Counselor, is to set up your account with your Username and Password; this username will recognize you as a student and link you to your student Individual Record Number (IRN) this will help serve as an identifier for your student email account. This is hosted by Google’s Gmail. Once classes begin there are things that are offered by your Facilitator or professor to help you along in your classes. These things will need to be printed out and saved, two of the most important things that you will need is your course calendar and your course syllabus; both of these things outline what you have to do for each class and when they are do.
