Many are perplexed at the absurd sight of a man, woman, or even adolescent, smoking. Trying to find reasonable rationale can be mind-boggling for non-smokers, and it very well should be. What plausible explanation do they have for putting their bodies through the horrific experience of smoking a cigarette? The reason must be because they’re un-educated. But how can they miss all the forewarning when, (as a single example) accompanied with the pack of cigarettes is a picture and explanation of a possible disease associated with smoking. The companies manufacturing the cigarettes obviously know what they’re doing to people, so why don’t their clients. We should terminate this bad habit of smoking and abstain from making the mistake before the devastating number of fatalities increases.
The risk of acquiring a disease from smoking is remarkably high. Unlike losing your life by getting crashed into by a drunk driver; smoking is preventable! Teenagers may believe they’re invincible, but contracting diseases such as: lung cancer, emphysema, and cardiovascular disease are inevitable. They should be concerned about not being able to breathe or having their blood vessels blocked in 20 years, rather then trying to be “cool”. There are also the very un-appealing reasons such as: rotting of the teeth, and yellowing of the hands. Smoking also decreases the person’s appetite so the smoker in question may not want to consume any food that’s potentially good for their bodies, therefore making them even less healthy, and more prone to other diseases.
So what is it that causes these diseases? Some of the ingredients are well known, and can be found at your local… hardware store?? A single cigarette contains cadmium, stearic acid, butane, hexamine, toluene, nicotine, ammonia, paint, methanol, carbon monoxide, poisonous arsenic, methane, and acetic acid.
