My special place People from all over town drive to the heart of South Austin, near Barton Spring Pool and Lady Bird Lake, despite of the fact of getting into traffic jam, and burning their skin under the heat of the summer month, just to get better seat in the Zilker Park waiting for the nightfall to watch the fireworks. The 350 acres recreation area owned by public developed into the park during the Great Depression in 1930, listed in the National Register of Historic Place in 1997. We had seen some turtles while we paddled along the river. While we did these things together, I had though for myself that I was going to cook B-B-Q while my son played next time, which I had done. In addition, the park had the hike and bike trail around the Lady Bird Lake both paths next to the park, which had many beautiful scenes for you to see while biking or hiking along its paths. Many events that are more interesting ran yearly in the park, such as Austin City Limit Music Festival, Park Kite Festival, Park Trees Lighting and Trail of Lights, Austin...
