During my senior year in college, we had to undertake a design project. The goal of the project was to demonstrate technical design, teamwork, presentation skills, understanding of realistic constraints of design processes and a demonstration of ethnics. This was essential in graduating in my electrical engineering major. In taking on this project, I took it upon myself to sure it would be completed in successfully in a timely manner. I was in a group of 4 of my colleagues. I became the team leader. Although the role in itself did not infer any other special privileges and it certainly had additional responsibilities, which I embraced with no problems. I was in charge of all the administrative duties, which included typing up most progress report, set up meeting with our group adviser and made sure we had team meetings regularlyto make sure we progressing on our project. I set and lead the agenda for most of the meetings and maintained coordination between all group members. . As we progressed, I made sure we able to manage our time and rank our priorities accordingly with helpful input from all team members. Also made sure that each member of the group was able to make suggestions, initiate ideas and important of all that each person was recognized equally. Our project was successful and I enjoyed and learnt what it took to be a successful team leader. I enjoy and am great in working in a team. I believe that it allows for a huge influx of ideas and allows for a shared responsibility. I always respect each member and am careful not to act in away that rub off wrongly on others. I am calm and assertive when dealing with teammates at the same time, am open to a different point of view. I am also a good presenter and communicator
