As a global phenomenon occurs right at this moment, surprisingly, our actions, as citizens of planet Earth, remain unchanged. Fossil fuels in cars, factory and electricity production are mainly responsible for the production of greenhouse gases. Otherwise known as Global Warming, this global event has been recognized and distinguished as harmful and deleterious to planet Earth since middle of the 20th century. Now, in the twenty first century, people are slowly showing signs of actions towards this issue from electric powered cars to converting natural resources to usable energy. But these progressive actions are seemingly not a priority in our country as opposed to focusing on tax, the middle class, and exports as shown in our countries recent presidential debate. Ice slowly melting, fewer species inhabited in environments, sea level gradually rising are not substantial reasons to change and be recognized constantly in our country? Greenland ice, if our actions do not change, will inevitably raise sea levels to around twenty feet which will remove 100 million people off the face of this planet. Although Global Warming has been recognized as an issue, our actions as people of the planet Earth have not treated this problem as urgently as it should be. Due to the apparent effects of greenhouse gases created by everyday actions, Global Warming should be addressed as an urgent issue to create change before it is too late.
The greenhouse gases emitted by humans simply are the cause of global warming. Many chemical compounds trapped in Earth’s atmosphere are the greenhouse gases that allow sunlight
to penetrate but as it is refracted towards space, it transforms into infrared radiation. Thus, our
world’s temperature is rapidly increasing.
Humans emit these greenhouse gases in many various ways. The main causes are the fossil fuels consumed in driving cars and factory and electricity production. Fossil fuel used in cars is a huge contributor to global warming,...
