Upon completing my first block of classes at Axia College of University of Phoenix, I have
discovered traits I was not aware that I had. I can use the following guide as a resource for the
next block of classes I have. The resources I have at hand will be the best help I can get when
trying to achieve my best. I have found that I can over come any fears I may have had at the
beginning of my first block of classes. Knowing the use the correct forums, when to post, what
days to post, how many days to post, is all part of the learning process with these first set of
classes.
Using Axia’s Educational Resources:
When having to do any type of reading for class there are several different ways to look at
it. I can choose to either read or listen to them. The ability to download it to listen to it
at a later time is a great advantage for if you need time to do it outside of the home. As it is a
great option for me I get the information at hand better if I read it. Having the audio feature is
wonderful information to have.

I will be able to use the many different search engines that are located at the University Library.
when conducting research make sure to use key words to find what you are looking for. When
searching for distance learning, just use the words distance learning. Make sure that you check
if the article is peer reviewed or not. If using information from the article make sure to write
down the Author or Authors names. If needed I have the ability to ask the Librarian a question
if I need to. I can also go request a specific document as well.
When conducting a paper I can go to the Center for Writing Excellence and there are several
tools there that I can use:
1. Grammar Tutorial; has the grammar guide and common English errors. These give you guidelines on topics for grammar and also include definitions and...
