While, our collective group profile is ESTJ, our individual profiles are comprised of ISTJ, ESFJ, ESTJ, ESTJ, and ENFJ. Please see Tables 1, 2 and figure 1 for a breakdown on composite and individual profile results. Based on our Team profile, we are moderately extroverted. In essence, our group shall be self-sustainable during our brainstorming process by bouncing ideas off one another. Furthermore, while this parameter should provide for a good group interrelation we must be sure to respect all members’ opinions1. The majority of the member’s profiles are composed of sensors. Hence, our team has a strong tendency to interrupt information literally. However, our intuitive member brings the belief of teams that is inspiring, adding an essential counter-weight to our inherent sensing tendencies. The “Thinking and Feeling” category may end up being one the most interesting dynamics of our team because four of our members are on the extreme ends of the scale (2Ts and 2Fs). While our team profile may average out to be a slight T we must be cognizant of these differences. Nonetheless, these differences may also end up being one of our greatest strengths because our team is one that balances its logical task orientation (thinking) with an awareness of the human element required to reach those tasks (feeling) 1,2. The Judging and Perceiving category is by far the most skewed. Individually, we are all J’s and hence we have a need for closure and control. Furthermore, because we lack a perceiver, we must be conscious to keep one another from coming to decisions too quickly1,2.
Our inherent problem solving capabilities will serve our group well and be used as an essential crutch to fall back on when needed. We are logical, analytical, and objectively critical. When these traits are coupled with the application of relevant past experiences to solve future problems, we will be able to focus on the root cause, analyze the pros & cons and then come to the best answer and...
