EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Hospitality Services (HS) in the University of Glasgow provides students and staff with different catering choices. In order to develop its competencies and address its management, this repot will focus on three aspects to discuss, analyzing HS’s competitive priorities, finding right position to respond to the circumstances in the future and ensuring it has the capacity to meet forecast demands. In the market competition, competitive priorities are similar to elements that trigger the organizations to build their own competitive strategies, therefore, it is critical for HS to analyze itself strengthens and weaknesses. Besides, organizations need to make a forecasts to know where itself standing and which directions will the organizations tend to go. In order to meet the forecast demands, capacity management is indispensable in the following process. For HS, it is important to know how many resources such as employees and inventories they need at any one time and how to manage them in a more economical way. In the final paragraph, this report will have a conclusion and give HS some judgments and suggestions.
