Why are grads poor in communication skills where English Language is much required? First and foremost, grads do not get sufficient exposure in college life. This may be due to lack of practice little exposure and unsuitable environment. Basically, grads in this country are from different races and back ground where they don’t speak English at home. ii) Let’s take a closer look at their problems: Laziness and lack persistence Hard work ensures results. A majority of young adults face discipline problems from time to time. Many are unwilling to sacrifice time and effort. Diligence and determination to learn are ingredients to success. One must Read diligently, converse and do thorough reading to ensure progress on a daily basis. This aspect is seldom addressed and often swept under the carpet . Thus graduates who are in the market are considered or labeled as incompetent and unworthy of good employment because they fail to impress or produce lasting results in their communication skills College students should be given the platform to learn, blunder and reform. Why is that so? Let me elaborate: Students lack exposure. It is not their choice but facts of life. Family problems, peer pressure and personal problems. This create a unconscious state of mind . It makes learning slow, difficult and moderate. Our culture is also not an outspoken type. Next, when we do blunder or despised at our mistakes., We subconsciously stop learning. We seemed scorned at and belittled. Little attention and correction has been addressed by our teachers or instructors. Finally, is reform. Students should be encouraged , motivated and constantly fed with the right mindset despite numerous failures. Great Leaders like Einstein, Mozart and even david Beckham are not born gifted nor talented. All of them are bred and with inner qualities with constant encouragement.
