Introduction

Two departments to be selected and for each department answer the following questions:
1. What does the department as a whole do?
The Marketing & Communications team are based at campus A. They are responsible for marketing and communications planning and implementation which include: design & production of promotional materials, advertising and promotional campaigns, internal and external communications, media relations and corporate events.
2. What support tasks are carried out in this department? (See Administration vacancies for various department, eg Customer Service Administrator, on Moodle or the Internet)
Obtaining feedback from customers, analysing customer feedback, producing advertisements and other promotional activities, organising publicity campaigns, producing and distributing publicity and promotional material, contacting and dealing with customers, negotiating discounts with customers, providing technical advice to customers, answering customer queries and enquiries.
3. How does this department link with other departments in the organisation?
This department links up with the sales and finance department as they need the prices on the product they advertise, so they would get the prices of the finance department and the information on the sale of the sales department.
