Team Assessment Data Personality test is becoming more popular everyday. They are used to get a better understanding of a person’s strength’s and weaknesses. Assessments test several different attributes and depending on what test you take some organizations may use assessments to determine whether or not you are a good fit for them. In reviewing the results for our team charter we all had different personalities which I think is great. I say this because in order for a work environment to be diverse we have to embrace different skills and personalities. We can’t have an environment were everyone’s personality types are the same. Our team took an assessment test that measured listening skills, trust, and personality. We it came to our teams listening skills we score between 40-60. We are able to learn about listening skills and adapt them to our environment. Real listening skills consist of hearing, understanding, and judging. I would like to improve my listening skills because it’s low on the personality assessment. When listening to other people conversations, I tend to wonder off or loose interest in the topic if it does not interest me. I would like to change this because that’s a very negative trait to have. In reading the teams results I could problem learn from their techniques on listening. The strengths of the team are very impressive and they contribute to the success of different ideas. The weaknesses that I really need to improve as a person is valuing other people’s opinions and fully following through with task when I start them. Again, working in certain environments unmotivated me as a person. Instead of going against being a product of my environment I got sucked in to the negativity that surrounded me. Reading the other teams strengths can be a learning experience along with the forums. I say this because not only are they providing a positive direction for their experiences they are providing reasons why the will and can work. References...
