Teenagers in Prision

Opinion:
I think teenagers should not be judged as adults, because as they said in the program, they are still like children, also they should not be locked away in solitary confinement, I think this is inhuman, people use to do these to war prisoners instead of torturing, so this says a lot of how horrible this actually is.
As we have seen in class, the brain is not fully developed at that age, therefore I believe people are doing a mistake doing this to teenagers because they are just doing things worse for them, when they get out of jail, how is their life going to be like? What will their hopes be? How will they see the outside world? How will they treat people? I do not think society can expect much from these children who have been isolated for so long just because in jails they are trying to “protect them”.

Support:
There are two types of social control, which are informal and formal. Parents can give informal social control to their children, when they are educating them, then there is the informal social control, which is written in law. Ideas for change:
I believe there are a lot of things to make things change for good; some of these could be to not bring teenagers to adult jails, we need more education, more knowledge, and more conscience and empathy. We can not forget that every single human being has dignity, no matter what they have done, they are still human beings, I know it is hard to feel this when you see in the news someone killed his/her family, raped woman, children, or just doing horrible things to people, it is easier to feel he/she deserves the worst. And it gets...
