There has been a significant advancement in the field of technology and science over past few decades. As in the current time people can't imagine their life without technology. Surrounding us various technologies are helping people to live their life with more luxury. The technology sector has changed and developed many products. Although, these developments offer many benefits, some people argue that technology will bring destruction upon earth. This essay will analyse the merits and demerits of technology before a reasonable conclusion can be drawn.
An example of an advantage can be air conditioning/heating which allows humans to survive extreme temperature shifts through technology. Rapid shifts in our environment would kill off many people without the available technology to change that environment. Simply being able to heat our homes in winter and cool the air in summer has saved millions of lives that would otherwise have not lived to raise families.
In addition mobile phones are the technology that is compulsory for us to communicate from one corner to another corner of the globe. Further it provides us various amenities like text, entertainment, news, weather forecasting, games, internet surfing so on, simultaneously it also embedded with clock, calculator and converter which are very useful for daily chores.
However while we were able to cure some diseases thanks to the help of technology, the advent of diverticulitis has not gone unnoticed. Prior to the mass introduction of process foods, diverticulitis was unheard of. Our human digestive system has not evolved fast enough to compensate for the amounts of process foods we consume. Thus new diseases are introduces, as the body is unable to adapt to the new foods.
Furthermore due to technology some individuals may lose their jobs entirely because the technology essentially completes the tasks that the employee originally did. Factories are the best...
