The alchemist written by Paulo Coelho is one of the most amazing books in modern literature. It is a mixture between a novel, and a self-esteem motivational book. Along the chapters it is presented the story of a boy from Andalusia named Santiago, and how he hasn’t been able to find himself in the world he lives in. he wants to explore the outer lands of his hometown, and it’s when he starts his journey to find his personal legend and treasure on Egypt Pyramids. Everyone who reads it can easily identify them on each situation that Santiago goes through because we all at some point of our lives have to make big life changing decisions. The book teaches us that finding yourself in the world and the path that you are to follow that goes along with your dreams and deep desires that will lead you to happiness and love is more important that all the material possessions that money can buy. The book is great from the first page until the last one, but there are several parts of the book that are my favorite: when Santiago meets the gypsy that encourages him to travel to Egypt, when he meets with Melchizedek and sells his sheep’s, his encounter with the alchemist, the love story that he develops with Fatima, and when he finally reaches the pyramid.

Santiago goes to the gypsy of the town so she could interpret his dream. They gypsy tells him “And dreams are the language of God. When he speaks in our language, I can interpret what he has said. But if he speaks in the language of the soul, it is only you who can understand. (13) What she tried to say is that, she will do her best to interpret his dream, but when God...
