The Mayans are an ancient civilization that lives in the Mexico/ Guatemala region and leaks a little bit into Honduras. Now I'll talk about social class, religion, and language. First we will start with social class the Mayans have a small elite group of people like rulers, priests, and Nobles. They marry people in the same group as they are. And the kids will be in that group also. At the top is the king he has control of all political, economic, and religious power. Next the middle class, the middle class is made up of professionals, government workers, artisans, and merchants. They had more wealth than the lower classes and had to be respected by slaves and farmers. The middle class provided goods and services. They were obviously not as wealthy as the higher classes though. They were expected to give some free labor to the upper class. Then the lowest is the lower class. The lower class is made up of farmers and slaves. Most people were farmers but their rights or not much better than slaves. The farmers and slaves do all of the hard work. Farmers had to provide the entire society with food. Okay that covers just about everything about social class now let's move onto languages Mayans speak as many as 23 different languages. They usually speak a different language in different regions that's all I have to say about languages. Next let's move onto religion yes I’ll polytheist’s. The worshiped almost everything nature related and believed in many gods such as Itzammy the god of creation, agriculture, writing, and healing. Next is Chack the god of grain and harvest. Then the Hero Twins, pro ball players who battled in the under world to avenge their fathers death. Next is Ix chel the moon and fertility goddess.
