The Crash

It was an gloomy morning and I was driving to a race. I was on my way to an motocross race. It was a foggy and cool morning and the last thing my mom told me before I left was “just be careful I don’t want anything to happen to you.” I arrived to the race an hour before it was suppose to start. Then my friend keleb and I unloaded our bikes from the trailer and started to warm them up when I felt a cold rain drop on my sholder. It had started to rain 30 minutes before the race was going to begin. It was a short cold rain that only lasted about 10 minutes. Once it stopped raining I went to run a practice lap around the damp clay track that when I juiced my bike the clay just stuck to my clean white and black fox jersey. By this time the race was about to start and I got my red and black helmet and my black and red gloves and headed to the starting line.
Poow the gun goes off and the race is underway. I get the whole shot (the first off the starting line) but there is somebody right there behind me, we battle for awhile after the first lap I had the lead by 2 seconds. We are now on the 8th lap of 10 and I still hold the lead, I am on turn 3 and I hit the first of a double (two jumps back to back) and landed that with no problem. I hit the gas and the bike jets up the second jump when all a sudden I get sideways and roll my bike. I had hit a false rut that sent my back tire to the outside of the track. The next thing I remember is laying on the ground in excruciating pain not being able to move my right arm or my left foot. I had broke my collarbone and my left ankle. My left ankle was a hairline fracture however my collar bone was a clean break and went through the skin. When I got to the hospital the doctors cut off my jersey and saw that the bone was poking out of the skin. The doctors rushed my to the operating room and operated on me for 3 hours. During the 3 hours the doctors put 4 screws and 1 rod on my collarbone. I was in the hospital for 5 days and bed...
