The following paper will discuss the findings of the Gap Analysis conducted for Global Communications in order to compare the company’s current performance with the potential or desired performance given the difference circumstances affecting the organization. The report will include an Issue and Opportunity identification section in which the areas of external challenges and the changes in the industry as well as internal challenges and the issues faced with the Union Labor will be addressed. In addition, the report will also include the stakeholder perspectives and Ethical Dilemmas such as how the new processes to be implemented will affect their interests. The End-State Vision will address the steps that Global Communications must take in order to set itself apart in the over-crowded telecommunications industry. The gap analysis will identify the key areas in Global Communications that need improvement in order to achieve the targeted goals. Alternative solutions and the analysis of them are addressed and each is given a weighted score. Risk assessment and mitigation techniques are analyzed and discussed should the company face negative consequences from implementing new strategies. An optimal solution strategy is formulized based upon benchmarking strategies researched from other company’s. Finally, the implementation steps and the evaluation of the results will be discussed.
