Ancient China is one of the most interesting countries in the world. It has a famous history of well-known inventions that is used in our modern day living all over the world. China has always been ahead as far as inventions, technology, and developments that wasn’t known to the Western or European world for decades and centuries. Here are a few of the inventions created by ancient China that is so amazing.
One of the innovative ideas was how Chinese discovered planting crops in rows back in the 6th century BC. This technique allows crops and plants to grow faster and stronger. Planting in rows was more efficient when it time to water, weed, and harvest crops. This technique allowed wind to travel over the rows of plants that would cause less damage to them. When the crops are planted in a straight line, the wind will pass gently through them.
Another invention from Ancient China that has been popular throughout the centuries is Porcelain. Porcelain is made by firing ceramics in extreme heat in a Kiln. These materials fuse together and form a mineral and glass compound that is known for its translucent beauty and durability. Porcelain was invented during the Sui Dynasty (maybe earlier) 618-906 BC, but by 960-1279 BC the Sung Dynasty was at its peak creating porcelain which became very popular all over the world. The Chinese inventor Tao-Yue used white clay that was found on the edge of a river called Tangtze River to create white porcelain. In 1708, a German Physicist by the name of Tschirnhausen, invented European porcelain that put an end to China being the only country to create Porcelain.
China is also noted with the early invention of toilet paper. The use of hygienic toilet paper was recorded during the Sui Dynasty in 589 BC. Arabic travelers as far back as 851 BC were amazed that Chinese used paper to clean themselves instead of water. By...
