The training I have chosen is the Fourth Training, it deals with being aware how/what you say and how you listening affects the people around you. Its main point is to try to persuade us that communication is a major aspect of life and that when there is bad communication between the sender and the receiver the feedback is not usually great. The Fourth Training goes on to say that we must speak truthfully and if there is a situation where we said or done something we shouldn’t have it is our duty to go back and resolve any conflicts that we may have caused. The type of crime that I believe would be relevant to the Fourth Training is domestic violence, it all ties in with how you listen and what you say. Because as the Fourth Training teaches, communication is a very important part of a relationship and this is why the majority of domestic violence takes place, because of bad communication skills between the two partners.
Domestic violence occurs when a family member, partner or ex-partner attempts to physically or psychologically control another. Domestic violence often refers to violence between spouses, but can also include cohabitants and non-married intimate partners. Domestic violence occurs in all cultures; people of all races, ethnicities, religions, and classes. Domestic violence has many forms, including physical violence, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, intimidation, economic deprivation or threats of violence. What makes this behavior a crime is the fact that it is a serious offense against another person that harms physically and mentally and it’s going over the acceptable limits of behavior defined by criminal law, therefore punishable by the police. Possible causes for this crime are that maybe one of the two partners was previously involved in an abusive relationship, other causes include, poverty or poor living situations, witnessed domestic violence as a child or it could be that the abuser chooses violence to get...
