Throughout this quarter of school, Humanities has been an interesting class because of the information I have gained that I didn’t know about before. Everything that I have learned in humanities has been a great experience for the last seven weeks, but one topic that stood out and caught my interest is the Great Pyramids around the world. One specific pyramid is the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza in Egypt. The Great Pyramid of Khufu was built over 4000 years ago and it is one of the most important manmade structures in the world. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is important to the Egyptian people and the Ancient Egyptian religion, but the Khufu Pyramid has gone through a lot change. Most changes were in the early years of the pyramid and those changes were religious and as the years went by the pyramid was replaced by different religions. It was very interesting to me about the research I did research on The Great Pyramid of Khufu. When I look at the Pyramids I usually think they are just old structures were kept because the pyramids looked good, but pyramids have much more meaning than just looking good. Pyramid Khufu was very important in the ancient world and it is still important today, but most of our generation doesn’t understand ancient structures like Pyramid Khufu. Pyramid Khufu was built for their king or pharaoh that ruled at that time, but more importantly they would place the kings of pharaohs when they died in Pyramid Khufu. By placing their pharaohs or kings in the pyramid that showed the respect for the king, but also showed how important the kings and pharaohs were and how important the Pyramid Khufu was to the kings and pharaohs. Also, Pyramid Khufu was important to the ancient people of Egypt because this was a manmade pyramid and the people who contributed to building Pyramid Khufu respected and love this pyramid and...
