The heroes in my mind
There are many heroes in the world, for example, Batman, Spider man, superman. They save many people in the films. But these people do not exist in the real world. They are only imaginative figures. In reality, I think parents are my heros.
Firstly, parents teach us the philosophy of life. They have plenty of experience and knowledge to teach us how to be good. Although we are lazy and naughty, they spend all their time and energy to teach us. When we are sad, they are there to dry our tears. When we are lonely, they are there to comfort us.
Secondly, parents are our living sources. Without parents, how can we live in the world? They go to work every day to earn money to support our living. They obey their boss’ commands without complaining. They neglect their weariness and tiredness. Parents always try their best to provide us with everything we need.
In 2004, an extremely terrible disaster, tsunami occurred in South Asia. I heard many stories about parental love. While the big waves were crushing onto the beach, some parents saved their children immediately. They all had the same will – to take their children to a safe place. Parents would sacrifice their lives to save their children.
In fact, parents look after us after we were born. The meaning of ‘look after’ does not simply mean a constant supply of food and money, providing us with a place to sleep and clothes to wear. If we are lack of parental love, lack of proper guidance, and lack of encouragement, we cannot grow up healthily and happily. Parents are great heroes in my mind. So we should share their burden. Do not let our parents down. We should reward them by trying our best to do everthing.
